2020 AGM REPORT
On announcement that ALAN TYLER would be standing down as President from the 2020 season he chaired his final AGM where new club President AMBER HAZELL and Vice-President GLEN BURTON were voted in. Amber and Glen have had great success as President and Vice-President at partners Victoria Park Rangers presiding over the most prolific period in the clubs history. They are joined in executive roles by Secretary ADAM CRISP and Treasurer MARY SUTHERLAND, as well as committee members KANE SCUDDS, BRAD HIGGINS, JESSE CAMPO, THOMAS YEO, ZACHARY ARMSTRONG, BRENTON SCOTT, BEN POWEL, LAURIE SUTHERLAND, and 2019 Clubman Award Winner KEVIN "ROLEX" WATKINS. In their first address they highlighted a focus on becoming a more community focused and inclusive club looking beyond just the players who take the field.
CARLISLE CLUB LEADERS 2020
The new look Carlisle Cougars for 2020 were presented to members and partners at the Globe Bar. Coaches for all 4 grades were announced as ex-AFL and Carlisle player TROY POLACK will take the head coach role supported by prmemiership winning coaches BRAD HIGGINS and JACK PARRY, while the colts will develop under the guidence of clubman JOEL SHORE who has had great success with coaching our junior partner Victoria Park. Multiple club best and fairest winner JACK KOVAL will fill the vacant capataincy role in 2020. He will be supported by a stellar leadership group including JARYD BLAKISTON, ISAAC DEVITT-BOYD and MICHEAL RAFFERTY. Also congratulations to KANE SCUDDS and BEN SCULLY named as reserves and colts captain respectively.
COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY
The VICTORIA PARK COUNCIL held a community planting day at CARLISLE RESERVE on July 7th as part of it's URBAN FOREST STRATEGY. Deputy Mayor VIKKI POTTER opened the event which saw over 50 community members plant 550 plants including broad canopy trees which will provide a green buffer between CARLISLE RESERVE and the busy Orrong Rd. This initiative will provide shade and a safer area for the community to enjoy the facilities and playing grounds at CARLISLE RESERVE. Among the members of the Community were Several representitives of the CARLISLE FOOTBALL CLUB who created a welcoming experience to those who attended the event and assisted in highlighting the value local football provide to the community. Special thanks goes to club committee members MARY SUTHERLAND and AMBER HAZELL who provided home cooked meals and treats for the event as well as barman BEN POWELL who made sure the visitors were kept hydrated, Also all members of the VICTORIA PARK COUNCIL who made the day possible.
CARLISLE RESERVE UPGRADE
The CARLISLE FOOTBALL CLUB and the TOWN of VICTORIA PARK were succesful in 2020 in securing funds to assist in the upgrading of the aging facilities at CARLISLE RESERVE.
This included the instalation of four 50 LUX LED lighting towers to increase the visibility for night training and twilight games.
Also $100K was secured to upgrade the current changerooms where outdated clay pipes and fixtures cause constant blockages, flooding also intermittent loss of hot water. The new facilities will be unisex facilitating the Clubs move toward a more inclusive Membership/ Player base.
The CARLISLE FOOTBALL CLUB would like to thank Mayor KAREN VERNON as well as TIM CRONIN and TOM OGILBY at the Town Council for all their assistance in acheiving these great outcomes for the fotball club and community.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE RAFFLE
Thanks to our sponsors Trevor Porter from ANY TIME FITNESS BELMONT and Basil Giglia from LIQUOR BARONS CARLISLE the prizes listed below were provided for a draw that every membership paid before the 31st of May 2020 was entered into and winners drawn on the Thursday the 11th of June prior to the recommencement of the WAAFL season 2020 due to COVID-19.

UNDER 21'S COUGAR CUP
The CARLISLE FOOTBALL CLUB hosted the KALAMUNDA FOOTBALL CLUB in round 9 for the inaugural MACA COUGAR CUP between the Clubs under 21 sides. Unfortunately Kalamunda walked away with the cup in 2020 with Town Mayor KAREN VERNON presenting best on ground performance award to Kalamunda team captain GIACOMO PAGUANO as well as Carlisle captain BEN SCULLY awarding the trophy.
CARLISLE MOVING FORWARD
Thanks to our major sponsor ACTIVE PROPERTY SERVICES for funding new signs erected on Orrong Road promoting the Club. The signs designed by TRIDENT SIGNS will assist in drawing in new members to the club. CARLISLE FOOTBALL CLUB also was successful in it nomination for the PERTH LEAUGE club small grants, receiving funds necessary to update damaged marquees and outdated point of sale equipment.
